Who we are

Design & Technical Resources (DTR) is a multi-disciplinary firm founded on two key specialisations – Design and Engineering. Over time, and in response to an industry that increasingly became specialised, we expanded our repertoire to include Project Management, Restoration and, most recently, Building Information Modelling (BIM).

With over twenty-four years of experience, DTR has carefully cultivated a network of associated consultants and industry specialists that we collaborate. The combination of our experienced departments with our experienced collaborators has established DTR as one of the leading major projects and EPCM firms in Malta.

We prioritise work that is of a "public requirement" such as our recent, award-winning project for a public garden over an existing stormwater culvert and the Cottonera Olympic National Indoor Pool featuring the largest free-span, engineered-timber roof. Despite the wide range of project typologies – Waste Infrastructure, Sports & Cultural Spaces, Historical Buildings - our approach is consistent: a strong design-led process that is informed and informs the Client brief and a thorough technical understanding of the specification, procurement and execution of the design.
